Empowering Hearts and Filling Plates
Over 70 Hamilton Heights High School, Middle School, and Eastwood Middle School students joined forces during their Teach One to Lead One (T1L1) service project to show us the way! These inspiring young leaders teamed up with International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES) to prepare over 18,000 meals for those in need. From Ukraine to South Sudan, their kindness will nourish countless lives. These students showed us that together, we can change the world!
Unleashing Compassion

Brian Doak, a dedicated T1L1 mentor, has guided and inspired our students. Brian has positively influenced many young lives with his active involvement at Hamilton Heights High School. During our recent IDES service project, Brian joined our T1L1 students in packing meals equivalent to feeding an entire village for a month. Reflecting on the experience, Brian shared, “I recently read an article describing the current situation in Sudan. I thought the students need to understand the enormous impact they made with a few hours of their time.” Brian’s perspective highlights the importance of helping our students recognize the profound effects of their actions. We are grateful to have mentors across the country like Brian who mentor, support, and uplift our young leaders.
